MaShawn Williams Portis

MaShawn Williams Portis is a STEM-certified educator with 23 years of experience in education. She currently teaches 7th Grade Advanced Life Science in the Mobile County Public School System. Her career includes 19 years as an elementary educator, four years in middle school science, and three years as an adjunct professor. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree, a Master of Elementary Education, an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership, and a certification in Administration.

Guided by her deep commitment to students, MaShawn has served in numerous leadership roles, including grade level chair, Title I facilitator, reading and mathematics interventionist, instructional partner and academic coach, and district-level writing trainer. For QuantHub, she serves on the Grants Team and Conference Team.
