Teri Owns

Teri Owens is a high school mathematics teacher with 26 years of experience, teaching courses ranging from 7th grade math to AP and dual enrollment Calculus. She currently teaches Algebra and Geometry at Sardis High School. Teri holds a Master’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and is also certified in English. She has co-presented at ACTM and NCTM on a math curriculum she piloted for It’s About Time – IMP/Meaningful Math and has served as a teacher trainer for AMSTI, regularly participating in AMSTI math trainings for over 15 years.

Teri is passionate about problem-based learning and incorporating real-world applications into her instruction. She enjoys using QuantHub to help students build data literacy and statistical reasoning skills. At QuantHub, Teri serves as co-lead of the Content Team and is also a member of the Onboarding and Conferences teams.
