QuantHub Awarded GEAR UP Achieve Grant to Expand College and Career Readiness Across Alabama
Birmingham, AL — QuantHub has been awarded a grant from GEAR UP Achieve, a federally funded initiative led by Auburn University, to support college and career readiness for Alabama students beginning in 2026.
GEAR UP Achieve focuses on increasing postsecondary access and success for students from traditionally underserved communities by providing early academic preparation, advising, and exposure to college and career pathways. Through this partnership, QuantHub will deliver postsecondary readiness learning content comprised of multiple skill paths that blend academic reinforcement, career exploration, and future-ready skill development.
Starting in January 2026, participating students will engage in skill paths focused on data and AI literacy, AI applications, ACT-aligned academic skill building, and workplace-relevant competencies, earning digital certificates along the way. Learning experiences will emphasize skills such as data analysis, statistics and probability, scientific reasoning, and artificial intelligence—competencies increasingly essential for postsecondary success and the modern workforce.
QuantHub Launches Career & College Readiness Speaker Webinar Series
In addition to skill-based learning, QuantHub will launch a Career & College Readiness Webinar Speaker Series as part of the GEAR UP Achieve initiative. This monthly series will feature industry professionals, postsecondary leaders, and workforce practitioners who will provide students with direct exposure to real-world career pathways, emerging fields, and practical insights into college and workforce readiness. Sessions will focus on topics such as career exploration, workplace expectations, postsecondary transitions, and the application of data and AI skills across industries.
QuantHub will also provide comprehensive support for educators, including classroom implementation guidance, onboarding, and ongoing coaching to ensure effective integration of content into instruction. Educators will have access to resources designed to reinforce academic readiness while connecting classroom learning to career pathways highlighted throughout the speaker series.
