This summer at PRemployer, I discovered how data and strategy combine to drive smarter business decisions—sometimes in ways I hadn’t expected.
I’m Trisha, a rising junior at Auburn University majoring in Computer Science and a graduate of James Clemens High School in Madison, AL. I’m passionate about engineering design, data science, and AI tools, and I enjoy programming in C++, Java, Python, and Ruby. I’m also active in the Society of Women Engineers. Through the Alabama Data Scholars program, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with PRemployer in Dothan, Alabama, under the mentorship of Payton Ware.
My role focused on enhancing HubSpot’s marketing and sales operations through research, tool analysis, and documentation. Partnering with fellow Data Scholar William Hessler and the PRemployer team, We explored AI-powered features in Hubspot for predictive lead scoring and workflow automation. We researched third-party tools that can be implemented in their platform like Crayon, Clearbit, and Owler for competitive analysis. Together, we co-authored everything on internal documentations on our research and a final documentation on the navigation instructions of Hubspot, proposed a manual lead scoring system in Hubspot based on companies/contacts, and prepared content for cross-team updates.
This experience inspired me to explore the intersection of technology and business. I gained confidence in working in a professional environment, collaborating with teams, and understanding how technology integrates with marketing workflows. I also discovered a growing interest in marketing automation and CRM tools, while strengthening my skills in organization, clarity, and critical thinking.
“Working on the lead scoring system strengthened my critical thinking and gave me insight into how business priorities translate directly into data-driven logic.”
Looking ahead, I plan to continue pursuing computer science while exploring electives and internships/jobs focused on business tools, automation, and decision science. I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned to class projects, hackathons, and leadership roles at school—and to continue building toward internships/jobs where I can make a meaningful impact in the future.
I’m grateful to PRemployer, my mentor Payton Ware, Kelsey Bickett, and QuantHub for providing me with this opportunity to learn, grow, and discover new passions.
