Dr. Sorrells is an experienced educator, instructional leader, and curriculum specialist with more than 20 years of service in K–12 and higher education. He currently teaches TEAMS math at Homewood Middle School in Alabama and serves as an adjunct instructor and university supervisor at the University of West Alabama, where he supports preservice teachers through instruction and clinical supervision.
He holds an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Louisiana Monroe, along with multiple advanced degrees. A STEM Certified Instructor, HP Teaching Fellow, and Digital Promise Micro-credential Developer, Dr. Sorrells actively contributes to statewide initiatives and presents on effective teaching practices that strengthen student learning.
